Rolanne Henry, a life-long resident of Madison, NJ passed away on July 6, 2019. She was 77.  Rolanne is survived by her uncle, Harold Henry, and many others who loved her, including cousins Holly, Brooke and Dana Reilly.  She was predeceased by her father and mother, Roland and Ann Henry.  Funeral services will be held on July 11, 2019 at William Bradley & Son funeral home in Chatham, NJ, from 11:00 AM until noon. Rolanne’s love for adventure and her genuine joi de vivre extended across subjects and continents. An avid learner, Rolanne held a Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College (Rutgers University), a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law, a PhD from Columbia University, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from NYU. She enjoyed pursuing new ideas and experiences and sharing her knowledge with her students as a Senior Lecturer at NJIT. She loved to teach, creating new and innovative classes for the Humanities Department for which she was happily planning her fall semester class.  She was an active member of the American Association of University Women.

Rolanne was a fearless traveler as well, pursuing a love that started young with trips to Mexico with her dear parents and family drives to Maine for lobsters (on a whim!). No destination was too far, with China, Hawaii, and California among her recent destinations and road trips to Canada and Florida among her regular ones.

Rolanne graduated from Madison High School, where she was the Vice President of Future Teachers of America and an All State field hockey player. As an adult, she continued her enjoyment of sports by playing golf and horseback riding.

She was an Elder at the Presbyterian Church of Madison.

Rolanne was a talented, accomplished woman who enjoyed widespread interests that she pursued with enthusiasm. Her family, colleagues, and friends will miss her genuine good humor, her active mind, her unceasing desire for new adventures and new learnings, and her independent spirit.
